A Day In the Life of American Idol

USA Today was allowed to follow American Idol producer Ken Warwick during his busy show day last Tuesday. The diary begins at 11 am when the kids gather to rehearse their numbers, and ends at 5 pm when the live show begins. A few interesting tidbits: Warwick knew by the 3rd singer the previous week that the show was running behind schedule and asked the judges to shorten their comments. They didn’t like it much. “They don’t respond really to telling them to shut up,” he said. By noon, Warwick had the “solution” to the time overrun problem–that only two judges would critique each contestant. The judges are told when they arrive at air time. Later, he’s called away to attend to a “meltdown”–that’s Paula freaking out when she hears the news. “All the judges weren’t madly happy,” said Warwick. Paula thought the format was changing permanently.”I went and explained it,” Warwick said. “She’s OK now.” The first iteration of the judge pairings had Simon critiquing each contestant paired up with a rotating judge. (They should have stuck with that plan.) There was a big to-do about the Tarantino package containing footage that could upset a sponsor. The package was eventually edited. Hilariously, the producers didn’t allow the name of Tarantino’s move “Inglourious Basterds” to be said on the air. “Family show” says Warwick. But they allowed Flo-rida to sing about oral sex? Alrighty then. Sacha Baron Cohen may be on the finale, but Warwick is worried he’ll say something offensive on live TV. Oh, I hope so. Matt Giraud decided that day to play piano on “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman”. Warwick complained that Bandzilla was drowning out Allison Iraheta’s performance of “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” during rehearsal. Do check it out HERE. It’s a good read. (Tribune / Kuni Takahashi) In a move unprecented in the Chicago area, more than a dozen churches on the West Side delivered coordinated sermons on sexual violence today, saying it was time for a widespread but often hidden problem to be addressed from the pulpit. At the Greater St. John Bible Church in the Austin neighborhood, Yancey Bady, an associate minister, went one step further, divulging during his sermon that he himself had been a victim of sexual abuse -- a revelation that brought members of the congregation to their feet with shouts of support. "Brother preacher knows what you're going through," Bady said, as he called on all the victims of sexual violence to turn to God and counselors for healing. "Brother preacher been molested, too." The churches that participated in the Sunday of Sermons are part of a broader coalition called the Leaders Network. The group has coordinated sermons before to bring attention to community issues, such as the need for school funding, but never before have the sermons addressed on the often taboo subject of sexual violence. Sharmili Majmudar, executive director of Rape Victims Advocates, a Chicago organization that helped organize them, said no event of this kind had never taken place anywhere in the city. What helped prompt the sermons was lingering outrage over the brutal rape of a teenage girl in Austin last fall. After the assault, members of the Leaders Network, Rape Victims Advocates and other community organizations rallied together to find the attacker, canvassing the neighborhood with sketches of his face, only to see the attacker remain at large, said Rev. Ira Acree, senior pastor at Greater St. John. Shortly after, he said, the daughter of a minister in the Leaders Network narrowly escaped a sexual assault while waiting for the school bus. "This is a problem citywide and nationally. But it really grabs your attention when it hits home," Acree said. Sunday's sermons, timed to take place during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, were designed to shed light on the prevalence of sexual violence and to shatter the silence surrounding it, he said, adding that the move was especially important in the predominantly African-American West Side of the city. "You really don't see many black men stepping up and saying 'We're not going to have this,' " Acree said. "It's a pretty big deal." Workers from Rape Victims Advocate were on hand at participating churches Sunday to hand out information, counsel victims and sign up volunteers. Ministers crafted their sermons around a biblical passage in which the son of David rapes his half-sister, drawing on encouragement from his cousin. The story shows the evil of rape and the dangerous influence of bad and indifferent people, the ministers said. Bady, citing statistics showing that one in three girls and one in six boys are sexually assaulted by age 18, said sexual violence can be encouraged by friends, indirectly taught by parents and supported by the silence of the broader community. He drew on his own experience to inspire victims to seek help. "You can't tell me that you can't make it, because I'm standing here today." Bonnie Simpson, a member of the congregation, said the sermon was inspiring. "It's good to have the issue of sexual violence out there," she said. After a mentor dropped off the schedule, Disco became this week’s last-minute theme. Seasons 2, 3 and 4 all featured a Disco theme. Except, Season 4’s theme was called “70’s Dance Music”–perhaps to allow Bo Bice some leeway to sing “Vehicle” by the Ides of March. Past Disco themes have provided some entertaining train wrecks. Carrie Underwood’s “MacArthur Park” was easily her worst performance of Season 4. Season 2’s Josh Gracin performed an embarrassingly bad “Celebration”. And who could forget Season 3 contestant, Jasmine Trias’s, tragic and hilarious “It’s Raining Men”? So, considering the history, we’re due for at least one spectacular misstep. And there’s a taped segment about last night’s premiere of 17 again with Zac Efron. Oh, and now we get the trailer. Synergy! All the Idols loved it. Of course. Zac is in the audience and plugs the movie. The results begin. Allison Iraheta stands up. Allison says she was stunned by the judges praise. And she’s SAFE. Adam Lambert stands up. He says he wasn’t insulted when Simon compared his “Born to Be Wild” to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. “It’s a great movie,” says Adam. Simon is laughing. “Did he mean it as an insult?” asks Adam. “No,” says Simon, still smiling. “Then were good!” says Adam, who is SAFE. Anoop Desai stands up. He says he’s finally feeling comfortable on stage. “So it’s a tough moment here, isn’t it?” says Ryan. “C’mon Ryan!” says Anoop. The audience laughs. Ryan finally gets to the point–it’s the Bottom 3 for Anoop. Back from break. Jennifer Hudson, previously recorded, is next. After a video package highlighting her successes after Idol, she hits the stage to perform her single, “If This Isn’t Love.” It’s so cool to see her, a huge success, back at Idol. GO JENNIFER! She’s awesome. Back from break, Ryan tortures interviews Anoop Desai. “What’s going through your head right now?” What do you think, Ryan. Anoop says he thought he did a good job last night and was encouraged by the judges. “I honestly didn’t expect to be sitting here.” I’m not surprised. While Paula is a little surprised Anoop is in the B3 (”Your voice is magical!”, Simon says that he deserves to be there. Kris Allen and Lil Rounds stand up…Kris wasn’t sorry he didn’t play his guitar. Simon interrupts to say he thought Kris was “Brilliant.” Yay! Ryan hands Lil the rope. she hangs herself a little bit more. Yappity yap. She goes on and on. “I thought I did good last night,” she says. Eep. Ryan, who seems to love effing around with Kris, says, “Kris, the bottom 3…it’s tough…you’re going to have to take a seat…” PAUSE. “on the couch.” Kris is SAFE and Lil is in the Bottom 3. Lil joins Anoop at the stools with a little fist-pump. Matt Giraud and Danny Gokey stand up. Matt says if he had a do-over, he would have tried to sing it straight, and not make it his own so much. Danny says he really felt confident about his “Endless Love” arrangement. Randy throws in his critique, “You worked it out last night.” One is in the Bottom 3. There’s no way Danny isn’t safe and Matt knows it. “Danny, you are safe,” says Ryan. Matt heads center stage to join Anoop and Lil. Kara says it’s the right bottom 3. Paula says there were flaws in each performance, and that’s why they are up there. Anoop’s performance was flawed? Really? Before break, Anoop Desai is sent back to the couch. Next is Miley Cyrus singing “The Climb.” Snack break! After Miley, Ryan asks Simon about the possibility for a save. Simon says there is one he would consider saving, and that it might be a surprise to that person. Is it Lil? “We’ll see” says Simon. Ryan throws to commercial and….nothing. “That’s your cue!” says Ryan. Gah. Bruce Gowers, asleep at the wheel again. Back from break. Lil and Matt stand center stage. “After the nationwide vote of over 36 million,” says Ryan, “Lil I’m afraid you’re going to have to endure the competition at least one more week. You are safe.” Lil Rounds is SAFE. Matt Giraud is eliminated A relieved Lil heads back to the couches. Matt is smiling. Ryan tells him to give it all he’s got, “Go baby go!” he says. The crowd is going wild. Matt is singing for his life. The judges appear to be deliberating, but in the next shot, Paula and Kara are up dancing. OMG. I think their vagina’s are exploding. This is a little better than last night night. But…he sounds desperate. The crowd doesn’t care. They’re shouting “Save…save…save…” The judges have a decision. Simon says he didn’t think it was as good as the night before and that he doesn’t have a chance to win the competition. Kara and Paula begin to protest. Simon waves his hand. “Matt we’ve made a decision,” he says, “And it’s good news.” Matt Giruad is saved! The crowd goes completely nuts. Paula and Kara are hooting and hollering. Matt’s castmates rush out to center stage to hug him. “Idol history has been made,” says Ryan, “Matt G. has been saved!” Simon is smiling as he watches the scene. This is a little freaky. When I first started this blog, back in November of 2005, I was in contact with an Idol auditioner named Miranda Tozier-Robbins who had made it in front of the judges at the Season 5 Boston auditions. She blogged about her experiences HERE. She had some interesting inside info, so I linked to her blog and featured her in a couple of posts. Later, she friended me on My Space. Once in a while I’d get a message from her–at one point she was attending a film and visual arts school near where I live–but no major contact. Last week she sent me a message, said she was on a “paparazzi gig” and wondered if I had any contacts to Britney Spears. “I live in L.A and am planning a stake out at Britney Spears’ crib. Britney or no Britney we are throwing a party in the back of her pool,” she wrote. Not sure why, but Miranda thought I might have contacts who could pass on Britney’s itinerary for the next few days. “Britney showing up or not showing up at her crib Tuesday night/Wednesday…there’s a party in the back of her crib…” she added. And after cautioning me to keep the info on the QT, she wrote, “It will be on You Tube soon enough…” So, imagine my surprise when I found this tonight while surfing the web: A camouflage-clad woman was arrested for trespassing Thursday morning after allegedly sneaking into Britney Spears’ gated community and peeking through the windows of the singer’s Calabasas, Calif., home, E! News has confirmed. According to the Malibu/Lost Hills Station, an L.A. County Sheriff’s deputy arrested 26-year-old Miranda Tozier-Robbins on suspicion of trespassing and disorderly conduct after security guards spied her peeping into Spears’ abode. After realizing, “Hey, that isn’t the window washer,” one of the private guards asked her to leave the prestigious Oaks neighborhood. When she seemed reluctant to do so, they physically escorted her off the property and called the cops. While originally held on $5,000 bail, Tozier-Robbins, was released after agreeing to appear June 16 in a Malibu court. Holy shit! I didn’t think much about it when Miranda initially contacted me. It sounded like one of her film-school projects. I think she was hoping to capture some footage for a video that would hopefully go viral on You Tube. Not sure why she thought trespassing would be a good idea. Not smart. I wonder how she even managed to get on her property…

Eating chocolate is both an art and a passion. It is important truly to appreciate the “food of the gods” and eat chocolate in moderation. And to truly appreciate chocolate in all its splendor you must try its many different forms. Surely adapting is OK. If you force someone to eat chocolate cake every day they will quickly tire of it. The Rules of Chocolate is if you get melted chocolate all over your hands you’re eating it too slowly. Aren’t you tired of the Vanila Chocolate ripple. Except that this relaxed night was even better because it included the interview and wine. I was already drunk on the Beards and didn’t indulge and The chocolate plus a friendly social crowd. Always seek the best quality milk chocolate varieties rather than the common supermarket and corner store bars and confectionery. Look for European chocolates, especially Swiss brands, because, while they normally are more pricey, the product is held to a higher standard than most American chocolates. Even better, of course, would be to find a chocolatier who makes chocolate from scratch near to you. That is hard to find nowadays, though, so don’t be hopeful. # ”Taste Dark Chocolate” This ranges in intensity from around 45% through to 100%. Be careful not to try the dark chocolate at too high a level to begin with or you may not like it. Start at around 45 - 50% dark and work your way up. Most people do not like the 85 - 100% range at first, or maybe never, as it tends to be very bitter. 100% has no sugar content at all and is very harsh to the untrained palate. When tasting dark chocolate, allow it to melt in your mouth rather than chewing. This will make it less bitter and more tasty! #’Try White chocolate.” This has a delicious and different flavour, because there is no cocoa; instead it is made with cocoa butter.It is very creamy and sweet. #”’Try Make Chocolate Truffles|truffles.”’ These should be hand-made, preferably by a chocolatier, a patissier or a baker who specializes in chocolate treats. The cream must be fresh. If it is not, the experience will be ruined. Return them and demand new ones- the chocolatier deserves to be made aware of any quality issues. #’‘Try drinking a chocolate” This is a delight not to be overlooked in the pursuit of enjoying chocolate. Purists may pooh-pooh drinking it, but did you know that this is how chocolate was first appreciated by the Aztecs and the Europeans many centuries ago? There are many ways to enjoy drinking chocolates. What is important, however, is to find the finest quality of said drink. Beware drinking chocolates marketed at children or for mass cafeteria consumption; they are likely to be over sweet and sickly. Look for low fat and sugar content (As in no added fats to pad out the powder and not too high a sugar ratio). True connoisseurs will look for powdered drinking chocolate that has no added milk fats, slight sugar and high cacao content or for the pure grated or broken high quality chocolate itself (added directly to warm milk). #”’Savour chocolate.”’ Whether you chew, allow to melt in the mouth or drink your chocolate, enjoy it slowly and with enjoyment. Take out time to discern the notes in chocolate for yourself and to try and develop a tasting repertoire that suits you. Chocolate differs in taste and quality in the same way as wine, whiskey, cognac, seafood and game meats do. Learn to appreciate the subtleties over time. And share with a friend- become experts together! #”Focus on nothing but the chocolate.”’ This works with most tasty foods but is especially appealing with chocolate. Close your eyes and cut off all sensory information except the chocolate. Pay attention to the taste and details of the entire piece, moving around in your mouth and savoring the flavor. Allow the chocolate to overwhelm your senses and don’t let anything else bother you. Practicing ”meditation” can certainly help, as this is similar to reaching a state of meditation. If it is an exceptional piece of chocolate and you reach the correct state of mind, this technique can make you feel quite like you are having an orgasm. I'm beginning a weight loss project.

Its not Jenny Craig, or Weight Watchers, or one of the hundreds of other weight loss brands out there. It's the "I Have Common Sense" program. "Eat less. Exercise more. Repeat."

As the mechanics of the process ran through my head last night - the recent review of my eating and exercise habits, the formulation of a plan to reduce caloric intake and increase physical activity, and then the actual follow through of the plan day after day - I thought about the present state of our political scene and our economic woes, and whether or not the American body politic is really ready to make the daily changes in our information gathering habits and our civic activities that are necessary to make significant changes in the area of political engagement, or whether we are just wasting a whole lot of hot air.

Congress is playing with itself right now, the way parents of unruly children do when they look at the chaos around their house, because both Congress and lazy parents know that to get and maintain order means that you are going to have to make a commitment to doing unpopular and unpleasant things until the unruly children or the underregulated industry realizes you mean business, and then be vigilant against the first, second, third, maybe even the one hundredth attempt to try to you, if need be, until the unruly children or underregulated industry believes that there will be consequences for inappropriate behavior without fail, each and every time it occurs.

All government agencies are not created equal. From the investors who have been taken advantage of by people like Bernard Madoff to the Congressmen who sat in hearings wondering how all of this chicanery by AIG and friends (Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan, this means you too) in the financial markets had been allowed to take place, they all railed against the SEC for not doing its job properly. The IRS is feared by both businesses and individuals. The SEC is not feared ? it is tolerated. The difference? The IRS agents can seize your property and bank accounts without a whole lot of red tape. The SEC can issue a judgment, which doesn't really mean anything. Or bar you from the industry, which as you can see with Mike Milken or Ivan Boesky, is sort of a "under your name only" detention program they have easily skirted after getting out of jail. The SEC might as well be mall cops. The IRS, on the other hand, has all the subtlety of a SWAT team breaking down the door to your house. When was the last time you were worried about a mall cop?

Internet security companies realized long ago that the people they were up against ? black hat hackers ? were a sophisticated, highly motivated type of criminal element. So guess who has ex-hackers on their payroll? The SEC is in the business of hiring Boy Scouts to catch the financial equivalent of computer hackers ? brilliant people who understand how to use the architecture of a system against itself. So hire a few of these guys to work for us. Or if there is no way to pay the kind of money to these people as civil servants it might require to get them onboard, put out Requests For Proposals for consultants that can contract with the agency to provide the kind of intricate analysis needed to keep the SEC at the heels of all the rule benders (do I have to type Goldman Sachs and Jp Morgan here again?) and out and out frauds.

The media, who claims it is working on behalf of the public, is a part of this too, playing with Congress and the White House as if it is one of those perennial "bridesmaid, never a bride" types who uses her dowry to attract one suitor after another in order to amuse herself before sending them packing. And we the public are lazy enough, or brain dead enough, to watch each new suitor?s arrival as if it some new kind of drama or intrigue between them might entertain us more than the last one did. How can you change the media?s focus? Since the thing we call the "news media" is really two entities - the news gathering and disseminating half, with its lifeless legs and foreshortened arms lashed to the back of the advertising delivery half, which holds up the people you see on TV or read in the paper ? you can worry their sponsors the way the American Cancer Society worries smokers, day in and day out. Some of them are already falling. Hopefully the others will get back to their original mission.

There really is nothing that Kim Kardashian, Chris Brown, Alex Rodrieguez, Madonna, The Final Four, BMW, Mercedes, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Tag Heuer, Bruno Magli, Jimmy Choo, American Idol or 24 can help to provide you with any additional insight or motivation about regarding the things we say are most central to our lives. How big Kardashian's butt is this week or how much the latest top of the line Mercedes costs is what we end up knowing when we focus this kind of time and energy on these things. Does that mean these things are all bad? I may have a taste of chocolate now and again, but it is a far cry from my old approach, which was to supplement my nightly quart of chocolate ice cream with raids on my emergency chocolate stash, or have a bit with my morning coffee. A little entertainment news can go along way. the good thing is, the same people are always in the news, so if you miss something this week, you'll probably see it again next week.

There are things we as citizens can do to reshape our cultural and political landscape, the same way there are things, like curtailing my immense love of chocolate, that I can do to reshape my body. We've done them before, without one hundred percent support of the people, the same way I'm going to lose this weight without having to give it one hundred percent of my attention. But they were painful times, and often produced imperfect results, whether it was the American Revolution, or the Civil War, or Prohibition, or the civil rights movement, or the Vietnam War protests.

Maybe we all need to be a little bit hungry all the time, not for food, but for entertainment and fluff, in a way that makes us savor smaller portions even as we gaze at the emerging musculature of our new found civic duty in the mirror.

Maybe, just maybe, what we are experiencing these days has made enough of us uncomfortable with what we are seeing and hearing to commit to changing our habits and our activities in a way that make us active players in our political and social scene.

I will be weighing my civic consciousnesses daily - my body, once a week.

It was bad news all around for Michael Sarver (a.k.a. Oil Rigger) last night on Idol. Not only was he forsaken by America and the judges, but he discovered that his brand of gee whiz charm amounts to squat. We say: Don't fret Sarver. We're sure they'll throw a big homecoming parade for you when you arrive back in Who-Ville.

Now, onto some serious business: After reading Lyndsey Parker's Yahoo! Music blog, we felt inclined to comment. In it, she declares Adam Lambert “a real rocker” and writes that his take on Cash's “Ring Of Fire” last week was the best Idol performance ever. Sheesh. Where to begin.

First off, American Idol and rock are mutually exclusive. Anyone trying find them liaising together is either delusional or doesn't really understand what the show is all about. To call any of this season's contestants “radical” is just plain retarded. Adam is most certainly not “a true rock 'n roll rebel.” He's playing the part of a true rock 'n roll rebel. Last night's cleaned up version of “Tracks Of My Tears” proves that, just like every other contestant, he's doing whatever he can to win this thing. And we prefer him this way because THAT'S what the show is all about. It also highlighted what was missing from his past performances (the ones where he was trying to be “different”) – his actual voice, which is pretty good.

8:00: Show opens with a schizophrenic montage of quotes from the judges and mentor Smokey Robinson about last night’s performance.

8:02: Adam apparently ditched his cheap Elvis look for the eyeliner and black nail polish that we’ve all come to hate. I guess taste sticks to him the way Brad stuck with Jen.

8:03: Ouch, Ry-Guy just made fun of the fact that Kara can't count during his opening: “I’ve got three words for you: Kara DioGuardi.”

8:04: Montage of last night’s show. Lots of hating on the girls’ performances.

8:06: Great clip of Irahetes’ triumphant final note though. Loved it.

8:07: Weird pre-recorded group version of “You Keep Me Hanging On.” I guess the rumors that these numbers are lip-synched are true.

8:08: Um, yeah. Idol isn’t even trying to pretend this performance is live. One minute Adam Lambert is in the background dancing, the next he's in front of a mic singing. Idol editors need to shape up big time.

8:09: Rounds is getting a lot of solo time during this thing though. The producers must desperately want to her to make up for last night’s performance.

8:13: Oh no. Not anther creepy Ford music video. This one is set to “Pocketful Of Sunshine.” Corkey kind of looks like Natasha Bedingfield though.

8:15: Ruben Studdard is up performing. I thought he worked the drive-thru at Burger King now.

8:16: He looks like he's been visiting The King a lot at least. I didn't know they made blazers in that size.

8:18: I didn't know he was married either. Then again, the Velvet Teddybears's not really US Weekly cover material, right?

8:19: Idols gush about their experience traveling in a private jet to Detroit. Blah, blah, blah. Let's get to some results.

8:20: Adam is up first and (big surprise) he's safe.

8:21: PS: What’s up with Matt G’s weird forehead mole? I cannot believe it, but he's in the bottom three! Kris Allen is safe though. Seriously? He was way worse than Matt G.

8:22: Lil and Oil Rigger are up together. She cannot be in the bottom three. OK, Rounds is safe. Oil Rigger is bottom three. I guess there is a Jesus.

8:23: Coming up: Duet between Smokey and Joss Stone. Wow, one old performer nobody cares about and one young performer no one cares about. Should be thrilling.

8:27: They're performing some weird new song called “You’re The One For Me.” Joss looks decent though. We can't wait to see her play ugly Anne of Cleves in Showtime's The Tudors.

8:28: Smokey emerges from the side of the stage dressed in a really shiny black suit. What is with Idol pairing the old dudes with the way hotter young girls. If this were real life, a restraining order would be involved.

8:30: This is so awkward. Joss won't even look him in the eye. I guess she's as creeped out as I am.

8:31: Abdul should not clap in a sleeveless dress. Can you say “arm jiggle?”

8:35: OK, we're finding out who will be joining Matt and Oil Rigger in the bottom three. Irahetes is first. Annnnnnnddddd…..she's safe.

8:36: Anoop is next. He’s safe too.

8:37: Hokey Gokey is up now. The audience cheers. I think we’re stuck with this one. Yep, he’s safe.

8:38: Blind and Corkey are up together now. It's gotta be Corkey. America wouldn't vote off a (supposed) handicap. NO WAY. Corkey is safe again????!!!????!!!

8:39: Randy thinks Matt G shouldn't be up there. Ry-Guy sends Scott back to sit down. It’s now between Oil Rigger and Matt G.

8:44: Ry-Guy asks Simon about the judges save. Simon admits, “They’re there because the public doesn't like them that much and you can’t change that.” Says he’s going to base whether or not they use the save on their final performances.

8:45: Motown medley by Stevie Wonder. Finally, a real blind person. Paula is, once again, doing her weird dancing behind the judges table.

8:46: Kara’s trying to get in on the dancing action from her chair. Calm down DioGuardi.

8:47: Loving Stevie’s Armani frames.

8:49: Is this over yet? I'd rather just go out and buy Now That's What I Call Motown.

8:51: Six minutes have now gone by and I'm about to pull a Van Gogh and chop of my ear. Also, there are all these weird pictures of children in the background. It's like Sally Struthers meets Star Search.

8:52: Now we have to go to a commercial before the results. So unfair!

8:56: “Who will sing for survival tonight,” asks Ry-Guy. It’s Oil Rigger. Knew it. At least there’s some justice.

8:57: There’s no way the judges are going to save him. It appears that Paula’s too busy swaying from side to side to confer with the other judges as to whether or not they’ll save him. Sorry OR, your one possible vote is lost.

8:59: Alright judges: What’s it gonna be?

It appears eliminated American Idol contestant, Michael Sarver, will not be heading back to work on the oil rigs in Texas.

Sarver told Ryan Seacrest, on his KIIS radio program this morning, he's heading back home to begin work on an album of his own music.

Tuesday's presidential press conference shifted episode two of Fox's "American Idol" from Wednesday to Thursday, which gave Fox a victory in last night's Nielsen ratings race. So ~~Adam Lambert~~ changed his hair on American Idol show this week. The judges liked his class look. I think he looks better with that hair. So DNA Magazine chose Alex Prinze as the cover boy of their #111 issue. It’s strange that the photos from DNA new issue were shot in last summer. Did DNA Magzine choose Alex Prinze or his agency choose DNA ? This guy has recently caught my attention by his increasing frequency of his appearances on the Internet and in some magazines. I’ve read some interviews about him recently. Well, I guess the PR guys at his agency did a good job.

I’ve seen Alex Prinze before in some photos by Thomas Synnamon and Zach Burns. Though the photographers did a good job but the model just looks good from some angels to me. Moreover, in some backstage photos, this guy looks … When I saw him in reFresh and DNA magazine, I think he looks better.
