EA Announces Games for the iPhone

The PSP and the upcoming Nintendo DSi better be worried, because the iPhone is quickly becoming a major handheld gaming platform. At the Game Developers Conference currently wrapping up in San Francisco, EA Mobile (a part of Electronic Arts) revealed a giant 14 titles it'll be bringing to the iPhone sometime in 2009.

Sports titles dominate the list, including FIFA, Madden NFL, NBA Live, and SSX (Snowboard Supercross). Other big names include Spore Creatures, Command & Conquer, and the just-released Wolfenstein. Low-tech gamers (like me) who prefer simple time-wasters should check out adaptations of Connect 4, Battleship, RISK, Monopoly, and Clue. An American Idol game is also in the works, for wanna-be singers or wanna-be Simons.
