Ill. takes conservation police applications

SPRINGFIELD -- Officials with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources are getting prepared to take applications for conservation police officers. Applicant testing takes place next week and early next month through the Illinois Department of Central Management Services.Conservation officers are state employees whose duties include patrolling state parks. The officers also enforce a number of laws, including those on boat safety and endangered species.
